Giving and Receiving Feedback

The main messages in the video “The Secret to Giving Great Feedback” is that giving good, genuinely constructive feedback to others, is about using less blur words and asking a question to sort of intro into giving a person feedback. Both points here ensure that a person will not feel attacked but will be open to listen to the feedback you are about to give them. In the Ted Talk “Process Feedback With a Strainer, Not a Sponge.” The main messages are to stop seeing feedback as outstandingly negative. And learn to receive any feedback with an open mind, and as a chance to learn about how you can improve on your skills or on yourself. I think my strengths when it comes to giving and receiving feedback is mainly receiving it more so than giving others feedback. I find I can learn from others’ suggestions and inquiry. So, I would like to improve upon giving people feedback more successfully and clearly.
